I'll Miss You!

I'm back from Los Angeles! I've been out and about every single day I was there, so it doesn't even feel like it's been four days! I truly, truly love Los Angeles and I wish I could live there; It was so amazing and I treasure each wonderful experience and memory made there. I couldn't do my photography project since I was so busy, but I made up for it by a huge shopping spree at Juicy Couture earlier this morning.

We got to the hotel on Thursday night and I barely slept because I was so excited to meet Ninoshka for the first time! We've been friends for quite some time now, a little over two years. On Friday morning, my love went to have a day to himself so that he could see one of his friends that just moved from Seattle to Los Angeles a few months back. I waited at the hotel for Ninoshka and her friend to pick me up so that we could have a girls day.

I was sooo excited to have finally met Ninoshka after so long! She looked super pretty and she's such a nice and cheerful person! I also met her friend Gabby and she is such a sweetheart, and tiny like me! I was so worried that I wouldn't be able to identify/get along with Nino and her friend once we met, but it was totally the opposite! I couldn't believe how much we all had in common, and how easy it was for all three of us to talk and whatnot. You can read Ninoshka's blog entry about the weekend in LA here. I don't have many pictures, but you can see the ones that Nino posted on her blog, which has two of me at least when I didn't look like a hot mess thanks to the California weather.

That same night, Nino and Gabby stayed at the hotel with us since we ended up getting a double bed room for cheaper xD !! We had some drinks (alcoholic and non) and went to bed so that we could be up early for the next day at Disneyland!

I let Nino do my makeup on Saturday, and I have to admit that it was really funny to see her struggle, though I kind of got my karma since she took advantage and did some work on my eyebrows u__u;; ... Anyway, we were on our way to Disneyland and it was fun fun fun! The lines were ridiculous, and I was already tired from the previous day (Friday we went to Santa Monica, Hollywood, and Little Tokyo). While I didn't much care for the lines, the rides were fun and I even went on two that I hadn't been on before. The best part was the fact that I could enjoy my day with two really good friends and my love without either of them minding. Love and I did have to leave earlier though, since we were going to go see a show at the Sunset Strip.

I looooooooooove the Sunset Strip! It's where I got my passion for concert photography, and the styles there are so amazing. I wish I could pull off the hard rock style without feeling like a total poser... Anyway, we went to see Wild Child, which is a tribute band to The Doors. I couldn't believe the performance because the lead singer sings almost identical to Jim Morrison and has similar mannerisms. I felt like I was warped back to that time period and at an actual Doors concert. We were of course, at Whiskey A Go Go, which is the "home venue" of The Doors. Oh, show me the way to the next Whiskey bar. Oh, don't ask why, oh, don't ask why... I saw a few people that I was just jonesing to take pictures of, but I didn't want to feel like a creeper since I left my camera at the hotel and only had the ipod and cellphone with me. Once we got out of the show, we headed to The Roxy to check out a local heavy metal show with 13 bands and Fatale Femmes as the headliners. The line was ridiculous and EVERYONE looked like they came out of the big hair band generation. I could see people that resembled band members from LA Guns, Gun n Roses, etc. It was amazing and a bit scary at the same time since they had that intimidating vibe... We saw a camera crew as well and a guy decked out in Tattoos from his face to his toes, in what looked to be rags in the form of a kilt/shorts/skirt who was with the camera crew.

On Sunday, it was mine and my love's anniversary. I was still extremely tired from Friday and Saturday, so I wasn't in the best of moods, but we went to Universal Studios Hollywood. It was really nice to come back, especially because my love enjoys being there! We went to as many rides as we could and then went to the movies to see "You're Next" and had a really nice dinner at a Brazilian restaurant in City Walk that we really enjoy, Samba. For our anniversary, love got me a portable microphone that I've been wanting for quite a while now, and love's present is being shipped as we speak, so I can only hope that he likes it!

Today we didn't have much time for anything, so we went to Citadels and I went to Juicy Couture. I bought $700 worth of merchandise from the store and I am in love with every single item! I will eventually get to making a video with all of the items; I think that will be the best option. Can't wait! Anyway, I'll make another entry soon because I do want to talk more about this but the post is already super long, whoops!
